Ngige dismisses mass exodus of doctors saying Nigeria cannot afford UN patient ratio target

HEALTH minister Dr Chris Ngige has dismissed the ongoing crisis in Nigeria's health sector involving the mass departure of doctors saying the United Nations (UN) target of one physician to 600 patients is unattainable for the country.

Sowore's younger brother Olajide Sowore shot dead by unknown gunmen in Edo State

SAHARA Reporters' publisher and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has lost his younger brother Olajide after he was shot dead yesterday by unknown gunmen near Okada in Edo State.

 

Olajide, who is studying pharmacy at Igbinedion University in Edo State, was shot in the early hours of  this morning by killers thought to be Fulani herdsmen. Omoyele Sowore has confirmed the incident, described his deceased brother who almost clocked 50 as an out-of-the-box thinker.

Ondo State Amotekun Corps arrests three herdsmen and confiscates 40 cows as anti-grazing kicks in

THREE Fulani cattle herdsmen have been arrested by the Ondo State Security Network Agency popularly known as the Amotekun Corps with 40 of their cows confiscated after they were found to have breached the recent anti-open grazing law.
