World Bank board meeting postponement delays release of Covid-19 loan to Nigeria

 

WORLD Bank officials have delayed the first tranche of a $2.5bn loan to be paid to Nigeria as part of the Covid-19 relief package because a meeting of its board of directors due to hold yesterday where the payment was to be authorised was postponed.

NDDC asks chair of senate committee on Niger Delta to refund N2.5bn he collected for a contract not executed

 

NIGER Delta Development Commission (NDDC) officials have asked Senator Peter Nwaoboshi to refund the sum of N2.5bn which he received for the supply of plastic desks and chairs for primary and secondary schools in the region.

UN plane carrying medical supplies land in Lebanon just 24 hours after Beirut bomb blast

 

UNITED Nations officials have already delivered up to 20 tonnes of medical supplies to Lebanon in an emergency response to the bomb blast that ripped through its capital Beirut yesterday killing at least 135 people.
