Two of Abba Kyari's co-accused plead guilty to importing cocaine into Nigeria in court

TWO of the co-defendants arraigned before a federal high court in Abuja today alongside Assistant Police Commissioner Abba Kyari on drug running charges pleaded guilty to importing 21.35kg of cocaine.

 

Mr Kyari and six others charged with dealing in 17.55kg of cocaine by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Today, the case was heard in court and Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwanne, both pleaded guilty to importing cocaine into Nigeria.

Former Super Eagles striker doing well as mental health nursing student in UK university

FORMER Super Eagles striker Benedict Akwuegbu has been listed by Anglia Ruskin University in the UK as being among its top achievers in recognition of the work he has put in as part of his mental health nurse degree course.

 

Akwuegbu, affectionately called the Austrian Bomber by his fans, enrolled in the university two years ago. He studied health social care in his first year before switching to his current mental health nursing course.

YORUBA nation agitator Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho is hoping to be released on bail this weekend by the authorities in the Republic of Benin in Cotonou so he can get medical attention.
