Sanwoolu visits survivors of Lekki massacre in hospital saying the attack will be investigated

GOVERNOR Babajide Sanwoolu has reacted to last night's shooting of peaceful protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos by visiting some of the survivors of the massacre in hospital this morning to express his sympathy with them.

(1) We have to write to all human rights bodies internationally, asking that they agree to back a move to get those responsible for this massacre brought before the International Criminal Court. If those who committed such crimes in Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Liberia were brought to justice, so too should similar murderers in Nigeria

Nigerian economy loses N700bn over the last 12 days as a result of the nationwide protests

 

NIGERIA'S economy has lost about N700bn ($1.82bn) over the last 12 days of the #EndSars protests  as the nationwide demonstrations led to a significant shutdown of economic activity according to figures just published by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

DEMONSTRATORS protesting against police brutality in Nigeria have successfully raised N3.7m ($9,650) within four hours to purchase a prosthetic limb for a disabled simply known as Jane who has been participating in the protests on crutches.

Femi Falana warns Buratai that he could face charges at ICC if army cracks down on protesters

 

HUMAN rights lawyer Femi Falana has warned President Muhammadu Buhari not to use the military against #EndSARS protesters making it clear that if this happens chief of army staff Lt General Tukur Buratai faces being charged with crimes against humanity.
