Kaduna wife asks Sharia Court to grant her divorce because husband demands anal sex

KADUNA housewife Asma’u Sulaiman has asked the state's Sharia Court to grant her a divorce from her husband Nura Ahmad because he constantly asks her to perform anal sex which she considers un-Islamic.

Yesterday, Asma'u pleaded with the Sharia Court at Magajin Gari in Kaduna to dissolve her marriage as apart from her husband's weird demands, he had also been assaulting and accusing her of infidelity. She said she came to court to get justice as she could no longer endure the pain and was scared of contracting a disease from anal sex.

Asma'u said: “There was a time I went to my parents’ house over a misunderstanding I had with my husband. However, when I returned, he accused me of aborting my pregnancy which was not true.”

Ahmad denied his wife’s allegation, prompting the judge, Mallam Musa Sa’ad, to ask Asma'u if she had any witness that would testify for her and she answered in the affirmative. After hearing both arguments, the judge then adjourned the case until April 18, to allow the complainant to present her witnesses.
