Forest hand Dennis number 25 jersey as he and Awoniyi prepare to face Iwobi's Everton

NOTTINGHAM Forest have handed newly-signed Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Dennis the number 25 jersey ahead of this weekend's match away to Everton following the completion of his £20m move from Championship side Watford.

Last week, Dennis agreed a four year deal with English Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest after competing his medical following his move from relegated Watford. Late last month, Forest completed the signing of compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi from German Bundesliga side Union Berlin in a package worth a £17.5m (€20.5m and have now signed compatriot Dennis top play alongside him upfront.

Dennis, 24, joined Watford at the beginning of last season from Belgian side Club Brugge and was one of the revelations of the last campaign, scoring 10 goals in 33 appearances. Having a relegation clause in his contract, Dennis was sought by several Premier League clubs after Watford went down but ended up signing for Forest, shattering their transfer record, which was set when they signed Taiwo.

In what has been an extremely busy transfer window for Forest, Dennis was the club's 13th signing of the season. When Dennis joined Watford just over a year ago, he was assigned the number 25 jersey and wore it for the whole of last season and the beginning of this season, so is now keeping the number.

While Nottingham Forest have lost one and won one of their opening games to the season, Everton who they face on Saturday have lost both of their games so far.  Awoniyi scored on his full and home debut for Nottingham Forest against West Ham of Saturday, enabling the Reds to take home all three points.
