Oyedepo places curse on kidnappers and Fulani herdsmen saying Winners Chapel members are immune

LIVING Faith Church Worldwide founder Bishop David Oyedepo has placed a curse on all the kidnappers operating across Nigeria and their sponsors adding that the members of his flock are immune from their criminal activities.

Nigeria is currently being wracked by insecurity as terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, rape, armed robbery and  communal violence are daily occurrences. In the northeast of the country, Boko Haram have been waging an insurgency against the state since 2009, while armed Fulani herdsmen, armed bandits and kidnappers have turned many parts of Nigeria into no-go areas.

Over recent years, kidnapping has become one of the most lucrative businesses in Nigeria, with public figures in particular being targeted for large ransom fees.  Bishop Oyedepo's who heads one of the largest churches in Nigeria, popularly known as Winners Chapel, declared that his church members are untouchable by the assailants.

Speaking during a recent sermon, Bishop Oyedepo cursed kidnappers and their sponsors. He then decreed the release of all kidnap victims in the captivity of Fulani herdsmen, saying their failure to grant their abductees freedom would lead to their deaths.

Bishop Oyedepo said: “Kidnappers, hear this again, anyone that touches anybody called a winner loses his life to hell. I curse the root of your businesses, I curse every wicked soul patronizing you, I curse the root of every sponsor that you have.

“Fulani herdsmen hear me, I know you also hear English. Anyone under your captivity now, that has this DNA in him, is released in the next seven hours, or your breath is taken from you.”

Of late, insecurity in Nigeria has continued to worsen following the activities of armed bandits and terrorists in many parts of the nation. A few days ago, three relatives of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State were gunned down by armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.
