House of Reps majority leader hopes to have 30 kids by 2023 so he can have a polling unit in his compound

HON Alhassan Ado-Doguwa the majority leader of Nigeria's House of Representatives has given birth to his 28th child and has promised to give birth to even more with plans to hit 30 before the 2023 elections so he can have a poling unit in his home.

Elected as the member representing the Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State, Hon Ado-Doguwa is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress. During a recent plenary session, he announced the arrival of his latest child and while responding to a congratulatory comment from the House minority leader, Hon Ndudi Elumelu, he promised to increase the number of his offspring.

Hon Ado-Doguwa said: “This is no longer news because this thing happened in the last 24 hours. It is true that my beloved family has gotten an additional one person, it is a bouncing baby girl.

“The mother and the baby are hale and hearty and the husband is still active. I am here and I thank God that I kept my word with the House that while I had 27 I promised you that I would continue counting and by the grace of God and your prayers, the count would continue."

“Now that we are considering the Electoral Act amendment, I would appeal to my members that we suspend relevant rules and we have a clause where it permits families that do have up to 30 kids in their comes to have an electoral polling unit in that family. At least between now and 2023 before the elections come, if you allow that, then I would have a polling unit within my home.”
