Once we have provided security the next phase of our tourism plan needs to involve founding colonies for exotic, rare and endangered animals

Make Nigeria the only place in the world where people can come to see these lovely animals in the wild. Of course, this will mean introducing some of the stiffest penalties ever seen for poaching.

For me, we cannot even waver on the introduction of a statutory death penalty for anyone found guilty of poaching. In fact, the law should include a clause that anyone who executed should have their bodies fed to the animals.

Sometimes, the end justifies the means. By my calculations, Nigeria needs to generate at least $10bn from tourism annually. To do that we are going to need very tough and robust action!
