As part of an ambitious tourism drive, 10 Nigerian governors should each volunteer to establish wildlife parks for the following unique African animals

Ayo Akinfe

[1] Borno - Elephants

[2] Katsina - Giraffes

[3] Zamfara - Zebra

[4] Yobe - Lions

[5] Oyo - Leopards

[6] Sokoto - Cheetahs

[7] Niger - Hippopotamus

[8] Kaduna - Rhinoceros

[9] Taraba - Gorillas

[10] Adamawa - Buffalo

I find it perplexing that Nigeria has no wildlife sanctuaries. We need dedicated areas that are off limits to humans where animals can thrive.

This is part of why I believe Nigeria desperately needs to expand her land mass by merging with some of her neighbours. Our current area is just 923,768 km² is insufficient for the vision I have.

To be honest, I need at least 2m square kilometres to realise my dreams of a genuine African giant. Back it up with a population of say 1m and then yes, we will be ready to return to the era of Ancient Egypt when an African nation was the most powerful country on earth.
