Buhari's son Yusuf returns to Nigeria from Germany where he went for treatment after bike accident

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari's son Yusuf has returned to Nigeria from abroad where he had gone for medical treatment on injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident in Abuja on December 26.

 

During the festive Christmas period, Yusuf was involved in an accident in Gwarimpa, Abuja and  was subsequently admitted to Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja where he was discharged on January 12. He was since flown abroad to Germany for further treatment and returned to the country today to the delight of his parents.

 

Aisha Buhari, the president's wife expressed excitement over the return of her son, posting a picture on her Facebook wall thanking God for his safe arrival. She attached three photographs of his return and in one of them, the president was seen welcoming his son with an handshake at the Presidential Villa.

 

Another photograph showed the minister of interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, leading prayers while Yusuf was sitting down. Mrs Buhari thanked all Nigerians for their prayers towards Yusuf’s recovery.

 

She said: “We thank God for the return of our son, Yusuf, today after his medical trip. On behalf of the family, I wish to express our appreciation for the goodwill and prayers since the unfortunate accident."
