Diaspora investment group NDDIS to hold second business club meeting at London high commission on February 22

INVESTMENT promotion vehicle the Nigerian Direct Diaspora Investment Summit (NDDIS) is to host its next business club event at the high commission in central London on February 22.

Created to assist diasporans with the process of investing in the Nigerian economy, NDDIS has already held four well-attended investment summits in the UK. In December 2017, NDDIS held its first business club event at the high commission and now plans to build on the success with another event later this month.

Held in conjunction with the British African Business Alliance (Baba), the event will be chaired by the Nigerian high commissioner to the UK Ambassador George Oguntade. Holding between 7pm and 9pm, attendance at the event will cost £20 for members of the public but will be free for NDDIS members.

NDDIS chairman Chief Bimbo Afolayan said: "Sponsors will include Cruxstone Development and Investment and special guests are expected from Nigeria. The event will showcase investment opportunities across various industry sectors, including property developments to Nigerians in the diaspora."

He added that members of the public and diasporans who want to attend can book their events on Eventbrite. According to Chief Afolayan, the occasion will provide a unique opportunity for those diasporans looking to invest in Nigeria to understand the dynamics of the relevant markets and the opportunities on offer.

Bukola Olofinjana, the NDDIS corporate secretary, added that this business club event will take place on a quarterly basis. She added that the other two major events for this year include a special dinner to honour former Nigerian president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on June 23 and a two-day information technology communication and investment summit between April 28 and 29.
