Ndidi now the most valuable Eagle in England after Transfermarkt estimates him to be worth €45m

LEICESTER City's Wilfred Ndidi is officially Nigeria's most valuable player plying his trade in England after a recent valuation of all the Super Eagles by transfer specialists Transfermarkt estimated him to be worth €45m.

Ndidi, 23, is considered one of the best anchormen in the world and last season, was credited with winning the most tackles in the English Premier League. His scintillating form has brought him to the attention of numerous big clubs and it is expected that he will be involved in a big money move at the end of the season.

Due to him having an outstanding Premier League season, that has seen him make 29 appearances and score twice in all competitions, Ndidi has seen his value increase by 30%. According to Transfermarkt, Ndidi is way out ahead of his other team mates plying their trade in England with Alex Iwobi seeing his value drop to €32m from €40m, while Kelechi Iheanacho’s stock rose to €15m from €12m in the latest market value updates.

On the continent, two other Super Eagles forwards, Moses Simon of Nantes and Belgium-born Cyriel Dessers of Heracles Almelo in the Netherlands also saw their transfer market value increase. Simon, who is originally owned by Levante but currently playing for Nantes in the French Ligue 1, is now worth a fee in the range of €8m, while Dessers, who was valued at a meagre €1m before he joined Heracles, has seen his market value quadruple to €4m.
