Liverpool and Spurs will have to cough up around €100m if they want to sign Osimhen from Lille

LIVERPOOL and Tottenham Hotspurs will have to shell out around €100m for Victor Osimhen if they want to sign him in the summer after his French club Lille has upped the asking price for the striker as enquiries grow.

Osimhen, 20, is one of the hottest strikers in the world at the moment, having scored 18 goals in 38 matches across all competitions. He continues to attract interest from Europe's elite clubs in Spain and England, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Spurs and Liverpool in particular hot on his heels and keen to sign him at the end of the season.

Of late, Italian side AC Milan has joined the fray, making enquiries about the striker and last month, Lille president Gerard Lopez, assured the club's fans that Osimhen will remain at the club for the 2020/21 season. However, with pressure mounting, Lille appear to ready to sell the striker if a buyer come up with €100m.

According to the latest from Le10Sport via MilanLive, Lille will be willing to sell Osimhen at a price that surpasses the €80m they received for selling Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal. According to the report, the good relationship between Lille and Milan could see the Italian giants as favourites to land Osimhen but the competition from England is strong.

Osimhen only joined the Ligue 1 side last summer from Wolfsburg after Lille signed him as a replacement for Pepe. Last season, Osimhen was playing on loan at Belgian club Sporting Charleroi but his form since the start of the season has led to his value growing far beyond the  €12m Lille paid for him.
