Victor Moses rules out returning to Chelsea during the January transfer window

FORMER Super Eagles winger Victor Moses has ruled out returning to Chelsea during the January transfer window saying he hopes to at least complete the rest of the season in Turkey with Fenerbahce.

Last January, Moses joined Fenerbahce on an 18-month loan deal, after falling out of favour under the then Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri. Over recent weeks, there has been talk. However, there have been speculations linking him with a return to Stamford Bridge, after Frank Lampard replaced Sarri at the start of the season.

Despite playing for only four months for the Fenerbahce, Moses ended the 2018/19 season with four goals in 14 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig. He started the current season in fine form but has suffered a muscle injury, which has kept him out for two months.

After returning to the pitch in October, Moses suffered a relapse and is out until next month. Moses said he hopes to return to full fitness soon and complete the season with Fenerbahce in Turkey.

He added: “Injuries affected me but I will make a real contribution to the team in the league’s second half."
