Leicester City looks set to offload Iheanacho to Besiktas during January transfer window

ENGLISH Premier league side Leicester City have agreed to let Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho leave in the January transfer window if a good offer comes in for him with Turkey expected to be his most likely destination.

So far this season, Iheanacho has only played19 minutes of football and Leicester are planning a clear out in the winter window, so will allow Iheanacho, who they bought for £25m, to go out on loan until the end of the season. Since leaving Manchester City, the 23-year-old has struggled at the King Power Stadium as his form has dipped.

Iheanacho was dropped for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and has only managed to appear on the bench three times in the Premier League this campaign. His only appearance for Leicester City so far this season came in the Carabao Cup against Championship side Luton Town, where he scored in the 4-0 win.

Turkish giants Besiktas are said to be seeking a January loan move for Iheanacho, when the winter transfer window opens. If he excels in Turkey, Besiktas may opt to purchase him permanently at the end of the season.
