Wilfred Ndidi rated as the English Premier League's best midfielder during the month of March

SUPER Eagles anchorman Wilfred Ndidi has been rated as the English Premier League’s best midfielder for the month of March after several sterling performances for his clubside Leicester City.

Ndidi, 22, has appeared in 31 of Leicester's 31 league games this season, anchoring the team's midfield and scoring two goals so far. Over the last few weeks, he appears to have taken his game to higher heights under new manager Brendan Rodgers, thriving in the 4-1-4-1 system used during the last three games.

Under Coach Rodgers, Leicester have won their last three games in succession and Ndidi has been a dominant feature of the side. On Saturday during the club's 2-0 victory at home over Bournemouth, Ndidi was the stand-out player on the pitch and received raving reviews from match commentators.

Statistics website WhoScored.com said Ndidi’s average score for the month as 7.9, which is the best of any Premier League midfielder. This put him ahead of every other midfielder plying his trade in the English Premier League, including the likes of David Silva and Paul Pogba to average the biggest rating for the month.

Only Romelu Lukaku of Manchester United has a higher rating than Ndidi in all positions, with the Belgian striker amassing an eight points across his March appearances. Of the players who played four games in the month of March, no player played more than Ndidi who received the best average performance rating of any position.
