Stoke City's Oghene Etebo quietly marries his long-term heartthrob Ebhota Bethel in Warri

STOKE City and Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has quietly got married to his long-term fiancée and mother of his child Ebhota Bethel at a private ceremony in Warri in Delta State.

 

Devoid of the normal fanfare and razzmatazz which has known to characterise the marriages of many footballers, Etebo opted for a quiet traditional wedding ceremony. It was attended by members of Etebo’s immediate family, friends, a relatives and his in-laws at the bride’s family house.

 

Etebo said: “She has been there for me and she’s the mother of my son.  We barely had time to do this and I felt it was necessary to get the marital rites done with before the year ends.” he said.

 

With his wedding, Etebo, 23, joins the likes of Kenneth Omeruo, John Ogu, Ogenyi Onazi, Willaim Ekong, Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi who are all married. he is now expected to return to his club ahead of the busy Christmas schedule in the English Championship.

 

Meanwhile, Etebo will not be available for Stoke City’s trip to Villa Park to face Aston Villa on Saturday due to suspension. So far this season, Etebo has played 14 English Championship games for the Potters since he joined the club in the summer.
