Buhari loyalist vows to get Saraki and Dogara expelled from APC calling them untrustworthy moles

ONE of President Muhammadu Buhari's staunchest loyalists Senator Abu Ibrahim representing Katsina South Senatorial District has vowed to get Senator Bukola Saraki and Hon Yakubu Dogara expelled from the All Progressives Congress (APC) soon.

On Tuesday morning, about 15 APC senators left the APC, with the bulk of them joining the main opposition the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Also, in the House of Representatives, 37 members left the APC for the PDP as did governors Samuel Ortom and Aminu Tambuwal of Benue and Sokoto states.

Believed to be instigated by Senator Saraki, the senate president and Hon Dogara the speaker of the House of Representatives, the move was in protest at the direction President Buhari's administration has taken and his insistence in running for office again next year. However, Senator Saraki and Hon Dogara are yet to leave the APC themselves and Senator Ibrahim had pledged to force them out.

Currently the chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim vowed to make to make sure that the duo left the party by force if they failed to resign. He claimed that both presiding officers were still in the party because they were afraid of losing their senatorial seats.

Senator Ibrahim added: “The only reason why Saraki and Dogara have not left the APC is that they know that if they leave, they will lose their seats. However, we will force them to leave and left to me, I would recommend that the APC expel them.

“They are no longer needed in the party and we will be cured of cancer if they leave. Me, as Abu Ibrahim, I am asking Saraki and Dogara to leave APC today and I will meet Oshiomole to expel them."

He said the defection of 14 senators and 37 House of Representative members from the APC, were not only expected but did not come to him as a shock. According to Senator Ibrahim, the only defection he did not anticipate was that of Sokoto State senator, Abdullahi Danbaba, who represents Sokoto South Senatorial District.

“We can no longer trust or discuss APC issues with Saraki and Dogara again, we cannot afford to continue to harbour moles in our midst. Let people be courageous enough and be honest to themselves, we will not miss them.”

“I know that those who take Saraki like God will go but this is because wherever Saraki goes they will go but the mistake they have made is to realise that politics is local. Nobody will say Isa Misau and Suleiman Nazif, the two Bauchi State senators were voted for because of Saraki, they were voted because of Buhari and now, they will lose their seats because Saraki will not save them and they can’t even go to their constituencies,” Senator Ibrahim added.

Also, according to Senator Ibrahim, the alleged plot to impeach President Buhari would have started today if the plotters had their way. He said they know that they are planning and are ready for them.
