Father Mbaka prophesies more doom for Buhari following defection of senators to PDP

OUTSPOKEN clergyman Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka has prophesied impending disaster for President Muhammadu Buhari following the defection of 15 senators from his All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

On Tuesday, the senators shocked the APC by announcing that they were leaving the party and their actions were followed by some of their colleagues in the House of Representatives. Governors Samuel Ortom and Aminu Tambuwal of Benue and Sokoto states, have also left the APC for the PDP over the last two days.

Reverend Father Mbaka, the spiritual director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, achieved national fame in 2014 when during a Christmas mass he predicted impending doom for the then President Goodluck Jonathan. Speaking about the latest development yesterday during a live programme, Father Mbaka said that President Buhari would not sleep well very soon as more disasters would follow news of defecting senators.

He added, however, that the defected senators are coming to destroy Nigeria more. Despite his criticism of them, the fiery cleric again attacked the Buhari-led government over its failure to protect Nigerians, describing his government as Demonocracy.

Father Mbaka said: “Heaven is watching Buhari with a whistle, the whistle has been blown, the administration is tyrannical. As for the defected senators, they are coming to destroy Nigeria more.

“This is just the beginning of disaster following senators decamping, this is just the kindergarten until Buhari delivers the change he promised. Heaven is not happy with Buhari, his administration is ‘demonocracy’, not democracy and Buhari will not sleep again.

“I prophesied before Yar’Adua travelled to Saudi Arabia and died, I prophesied before Jonathan became president and also said that Buhari will win. So if Buhari messes up I will be directed by God to tell him, Buhari where is the change you promised?”

Meanwhile, one of the defectors, Senator Lanre Tejuoso, representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, has returned to APC. Senator Tejuosho announced his return  at a meeting between APC senators and President Buhari at the Aso Rock last night, telling the president:  “Mr President, your son has returned home.”

Also at the meeting was Senator Adesoji Akanbi representing Oyo South Senatorial District, who it had been claimed had joined the PDP. Senator Akanbi emphatically denied doing so, saying the list of defectors was dubious, pointing out that he remains a member of the APC.

Senator Shehu Sani from Kaduna, who has been blowing hot and cold about his political allegiance was also at the meeting, exchanging banters with his colleagues.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, believed to be hobnobbing with the PDP, was among those who were not at the meeting. With Senators Tejuoso and Akanbi and Sani now firmly identifying with the APC, the party has increased its majority in the upper chamber to 54, enough to dictate the direction of policy.
