Wolves make €12m bid for Osayi-Samuel in the hope of bringing him to England this summer

ENGLISH Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a €12m bid for Super Eagles fullback Bright Osayi-Samuel in the hope of prizing him away from Turkish giants Fenerbahçe ahead of the start of the forthcoming 2024/05 season.

Osayi-Samuel, 26, has been in fine form this season, for Fenerbahçe and has caught the eye with his defensive contributions. Several Premier League teams including Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Brentford and Nottingham Forest have all made enquiries about him in the past and Fenerbahçe have indicated they will be willing to sell if the price is right.

Alongside Crystal Palace and Leeds United, Wolves have also been a long-time admirer of Osayi-Samuel and would now like to bring him back to England after three years of playing in Turkey. It now remains to be seen whether Fenerbahçe will accept the offer with Osayi-Samuel's contact coming to an end in the summer of 2025.

A former Queens Park Rangers player, who featured in the English Championship, Osayi-Samuel has not hidden his intention to play in the Premier League but will have to brace up for competition. Nélson Semedo has been the first choice right back/right wing-back for Wolves this season, starting 32 Premier League games so far.

This season, Osayi-Samuel has featured in 34 matches across all competitions for his club and has notched nine goals. He joined Fenerbahçe , the Yellow Canaries in 2021 and with his contract ending in a year's time, it will not be surprising to see him leave the Turkish side in the summer if his contract is not extended.
