SOCIO-cultural group the Northern Elders Forum (Nef) has accused several state governors in Nigeria of falsifying figures when it comes to the number of people affected by the coronavirus pandemic in a bid to qualify them for relief money.

INTENSIVE care nurse Adekunle Enitan has become the latest Nigerian to succumb to the dreaded coronavirus pandemic in the UK after giving up the ghost at the William Harvey Hospital in Kent where he worked.

 

Mr Enitan, 55, popularly known as Ade, who was a father of two children, had worked at the hospital in Ashford for five years. He has been described by colleagues as a kind, cheery soul who went above and beyond to care for patients.

Jigawa police arrest 30-year old man after he rapes his newly-wedded teenage wife to death

MEN of the Jigawa State Police Command have arrested a 30-year old man named as Alasan Audu in Ringim Local Government Area of the state for raping his recently-wedded teenage wife to death.

 

In a tragic case of child abuse, Mr Audu raped his 17-year old wife to death after she denied him sex for 20 days following their wedding. According to the police, Mr Audu raped Hansa’u to death on April 21, at Kankarelu village in Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
