NIGERIAN carrier Medview Airline has been barred from entering European airspace after aviation officials decided that its Boeing 767 aircraft that flies into Gatwick Airport in the UK is not airworthy.
In November 2015, Medview began flying the Lagos-London route, becoming the only Nigerian carrier into Gatwick Airport. Yesterday, the European Commission told the airline to change the aircraft or suspend flight operations to its airspace until it is able to provide another aircraft for its operations.

ABUJA spinster Khadija Ibrahim has dragged her father Bassa to court for breaching her fundamental human rights by not allowing her to marry a man of her choice after he constantly refused to meet with her chosen suitor.
Ms Ibrahim, 23, dragged her father before the an Upper Area Court in Karu, in the Federal Capital Territory, claiming that she had a suitor, who was willing to marry her but her dad refused to give his consent. She pleaded with the court to order her father to allow her to get married to the suitor, whose name she gave as Abdulhamidu.

[2] Earlier today, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) urged the public to totally disregard the online video, saying that the images were from an in incident in 2014. Let us assume that this is correct and the incident is three years old, we all know that nothing has changed significantly in our mindset to prevent such a flooding happening again

INDIGENOUS People of Biafra (Ipob) leader Nnamdi Kanu has claimed that prominent Igbo politicians are soliciting his support in the run-up to the 2019 elections in response to his sudden popularity following his two year incarceration.
In 2015, Mr Kanu was arrested by security agents after he travelled to Nigeria from the UK where he runs an unregistered radio station called radio Biafra. Following a lengthy legal battle, he was finally granted bail last month and has begun touring the country to thank his supporters and all those who campaigned for his release.
