LIVING Faith Church Worldwide general overseer Bishop David Oyedepo has dismissed claims that he is only worth $150m describing such stories as insulting inferring that he is worth a lot more than that.
Bishop Oyedepo, who heads the church popularly known as Winners Chapel, is listed by Forbes as the wealthiest clergyman in the world with a value of $150m. However, addressing the members of his congregation earlier today, he stated that it is an insult to say he is worth only $150m.
“They said ok I’m worth $150m. I said $150m? that’s an insult as I’m worth Philippians 4:19 and my God will supply my riches according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus,” Bishop Oyedepo added.
His Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000-seat church auditorium, is reported to be the largest church auditorium in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records. Bishop Oyedepo is also an author, architect and preacher and among other things owns businesses that include a fee-paying university.
Winners’ Chapel's network of churches are located in over 300 cities, in all states of Nigeria, as well as, in several cities in 45 African nations, Dubai, the UK and the US. Bishop Oyedepo is the chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University and own about four private jets.
