Adeboye's son threatens to go after Daddy Freeze with everything he has got for criticising his mother

LEKE ADEBOYE has threatened to deal with Popular Cool FM DJ Daddy Freeze for criticising his mother Foluke after the disc jockey told Nigerian youths to shun the advice she gave asking them to seek pastoral advice before getting married.

Controversial radio show host and presenter Ifedayo Olarinde popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has been campaigning against the exploitative tendencies of Nigeria's wealthy pastorprueners who fleece off their members, demanding 10% of their earnings. His campaign has put him on a collision course with these wealthy clergymen who are not only well connected politically but also have very deep pockets.

Earlier this month, Foluke Adeboye, the wife of the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), had advised Nigerian youths to seek the counsel of their pastors first before their parents when they find their life partner. In a swift response, Daddy Freeze berated the pastor’s wife for her counsel to the youths.

Daddy Freeze said: “Are these people beginning to manifest early signs of senility? These teachings have no recourse to the bible.

"Jesus himself said you shouldn’t give money meant for your parents to the temple, let alone this trash. I hope these people have access to the wealth and the airplane she and her husband are flying when they have finished helping them take all these decisions for them?”

In response, Leke Adeboye, the general overseer's first son and personal assistant  said: "Bros, I have left you alone before but if you come after my mother, I will come after you and yours with everything I have. She was not talking to you or your followers, maybe if you had done the same thing, you will still be happy and married right now."

Over recent month, Daddy Freeze has been a fierce critic of Nigerian pentecostal churches, claiming they rip of ordinary Nigerians through tithes. These churches compel their members to pay 10% of their earnings in offerings and their pastors then use this to fund lavish lifestyles, which include buying private jets and strings of flashy cars.
