Chukwueze might be on his way back to England following the end of his Fulham loan spell

SUPER Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze could be back in the English Premier League soon after Fulham let go of him following his season-long spell with the club as several rivals including Everton and Nottingham Forest are believed to be interested in his services.

Chukwueze, 27, spent last season on loan at Fulham, who had the option of buying him from his parent club AC Milan but the west London side decided not to exercise that right. As a result, the winger has returned to Italy but he may not remain there for long AC Milan have made it clear they are open to offers from several English Premier League sides.

Since leaving Spanish side Villarreal for Milan in the summer of 2023, Chukwueze has struggled to establish himself as an automatic starter at every club he has been. He arrived in Italy with a reputation as one of Europe's most dangerous one-on-one attackers but injuries, managerial changes and inconsistent form have prevented him from reaching those heights.

His loan spell at Fulham offered only glimpses of his quality as across 24 appearances in all competitions, he scored three goals and provided four assists in 1,117 minutes. A particularly impressive spell between November 2025 and January 2026 saw him produce two goals and three assists in six matches.

Yet those flashes were not enough to convince Fulham to activate a purchase clause reportedly worth between €24m and €30m. Everton for instance have been linked with Chukwueze on several occasions over the years and remain in need of a genuine right winger capable of beating defenders, so are looking at sign him.

Chukwueze's greatest strength has always been his ability to receive the ball in wide areas, attack defenders directly and create danger through pace and dribbling. Everton's attacking play often lacks that unpredictability, so he would be a good fit in with the team.

Nottingham Forest are another interested club as their success in recent seasons has often been built around rapid counter-attacks, quick transitions and direct running from wide areas. These qualities mirror Chukwueze's strengths almost perfectly as Forest's fast-paced approach would allow him to play instinctively and maximise the attributes that once made him one of La Liga's most feared wingers.

Crystal Palace might be interested in his services too as they have developed a reputation for giving attacking players the freedom to express themselves. Palace's system often encourages individual flair and that could be exactly what Chukwueze needs after several difficult seasons.
