Milwall look to bring Nigeria-eligible striker Heavens to England during summer transfer window

ENGLISH Championship side Milwall have joined the list of clubs looking to sign Nigeria-eligible teenage striker Uchenna Heavens from Germany during the forthcoming summer transfer window.

Heavens, 18, was born in Essen, Germany on April 6, 2008 to Nigerian parents, making him eligible to play for both Nigeria and Germany. However, he has committed his international future to Nigeria, already setting his sights set on a youth team call-up with an invitation to the Flying Eagles anticipated.

A forward seen as a player with a lot of potential, Heavens is attracting interest from numerous European clubs ahead of the reopening of the transfer window. He began his career at VfL Bochum, where he was widely regarded as one of the standout talents of his generation.

While at Bochum, he caught the eye of Borussia Dortmund, whose structured long-term vision persuaded him to join the Bundesliga giants in 2022. Heavens became a free agent after leaving VfB Waltrop in December 2025 and has been keeping fit with Schwarz-Weiß Essen in preparation for a summer transfer.

Millwall and Dutch Eredivisie side FC Volendam are keeping tabs on Heavens who has been described by his minders as a modern day attacker whose profile blends pace, directness and relentless intensity. Known for his blistering pace and effectiveness in one-on-one duels, Heavens also presses intelligently out of position, drawing comparisons with Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.
