(1) Yesterday, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) published a report in which it warned that Nigeria’s debt-to-gross domestic product (GDP) ratio was growing at an alarming rate. Although still within reason as the federal government’s external debt of $40bn is still less than 10% of GDP, the way it is growing gives cause for concern.
