MALLAM Abba Kyari the chief of staff to Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus after he fell ill upon his return from a recent foreign trip and has subsequently been placed in isolation.
This week, Mallam Kyari returned to Nigeria after visiting Germany and Egypt where it is believed to have contracted the virus. Egypt has 327 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 14 deaths while Germany has 29,056 infections and 123 deaths.

FRENCH league side Bordeaux has placed Super Eagles players Samuel Kalu and Josh Maja on partial employment contract on account of the dreaded coronavirus pandemic that has led to the suspension of the football season.
Across Europe, football leagues have all been suspended until further notice as part of the fight against the virus. Apart from not playing matches the players will not train together until further notice due to the public health challenge confronting the world.

(1) With a population of 200m, Nigeria is never going to have enough coronavirus test centres
(2) Even if you have one centre in each of our 774 local government areas it will never be enough. These centres will simply be swamped and overwhelmed
(3) Our only solution is to manufacture these test kits. Kind of similar to pregnancy test kits, they are easy to use and provide instant results
