Were I in President Tinubu’s shoes I would call the Ohanaeze leaders together and tell them that the southeast is central to my plans to get annual 15% GDP growth, so need them to sign up to this:

Ayo Akinfe

[1] All five states of the southeast geo-political zone will float a finance house called Ogbunigwe Bank. It will hand out loans to small businesses with a maximum interest rate of 5%. The federal government will take a 10% stake in the venture

Obafemi Awolowo once said nothing bothers him for more than a few minutes. Let us get over this national tragedy of Abidjan by initiating an Awolowo futuristic action plan tomorrow

Ayo Akinfe

[1] OK, we lost the Nations Cup final. I think what hurt the most was the way we lost it. A lack of spirit among our boys was obvious with the way the Ivorians won every 50:50 ball throughout the 90 minutes

[2] Clearly there was a lack of motivation in the team. Poor tactical decisions did not help either. Just as well the head coach Jose Peseiro is leaving as he clearly lacks the capacity to take this team to higher heights

Given that this Nations Cup has led to South Africans nicknaming Nigeria Generator Republic, our government should be shamed into acting by coming up with an action plan that looks like this

Ayo Akinfe

[2] As from 2026, all buildings in Nigeria must have solar panels installed on their roofs. Not having one will attract prosecution with the risk of the property being forfeited to the federal government

[3] By the end of 2025, all public buildings in Nigeria must be fitted with solar panels

Later this month, President Tinubu should call a victory summit to celebrate wining the African Nations Cup and use it as an opportunity to put this continental development plan to his colleagues

Ayo Akinfe

[1] As a continent, we will stop exporting our wildlife. If anyone wants to see lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, gorillas, baboons, zebras, rhinos, hippos, etc, they should come to Africa. There is absolutely no justification for the zoo. For starters it is a crime against nature to cage wild animals
