Author Ayo Akinfe to sign copies of Black Ladder at Classy & Stylish

ORGANISERS of the inaugural Classy & Stylish bank holiday weekend gig have revealed that author Ayo Akinfe will be attending their event on Friday May 26 where he will sign copies of his new book Black Ladder.

Due to hold at Cyprus Gardens restaurant on the North Circular Road in east London, Classy & Stylish is a mature get-together organised by Classic Stars Entertainment. Its inaugural event will start at 8pm and last until 3am with subsequent gatherings expected to place every two months.

West Ham and Everton join bidding war for Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho

SUPER Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has sparked flurry of interest from several Premiership and European clubs after Manchester City indicated that he would be put up for sale at the end of the season.

Iheanacho, 20, started off as one of Manchester City's best players this season, scoring 21 goals in 63 games, with most of these appearances coming as a substitute. Over recent months, however, he has struggled to get into the starting line-up and it looks certain that he will leave the club at the end of the current campaign.

Nollywood actress Moji Olaiya passes away in Canada at the tender age of 42

NOLLYWOOD actress Moji Olaiya passed away in Canada late last night after suffering from cardiac arrest at the tender age of 42 in a development that has sent shock waves across the Nigerian film industry.

Only two months ago, Ms Olaiya, the son of highlife maestro Sir Victor Olaiya, gave birth after she officially divorced her first husband. She had previously been married to Bayo Okesola.

European Union bars Medview from flying into its airspace over poor state of its aircraft

NIGERIAN carrier Medview Airline has been barred from entering European airspace after aviation officials decided that its Boeing 767 aircraft that flies into Gatwick Airport in the UK is not airworthy.

In November 2015, Medview began flying the Lagos-London route, becoming the only Nigerian carrier into Gatwick Airport. Yesterday, the European Commission told the airline to change the aircraft or suspend flight operations to its airspace until it is able to provide another aircraft for its operations.

Governor Akeredolu denies asking Ondo State civil servants to forfeit salary arrears

ONDO State governor Rotimi Akeredolu has denied claims he asked civil servants to forgo the six months salary arrears his government owes them adding that his administration plans to clear the payments as soon as possible.
