10 areas in which I would like President Buhari to act as decisively as he did when he dissolved the APC’s national working committee

I would love it if the forthcoming Edo State gubernatorial election marks the beginning of issue politics in Nigeria. Let us start off with an education. I would love Obaseki and Ize-Iyamu to unveil policies that look like this:


Edo State Education Policy 2020:

[1] We will dedicate 30% of our annual budget towards education. This amount will be ring-fenced come what may

[2] Class sizes in all primary and secondary schools across Edo State will never exceed 30

[3] There must be at least 10 primary schools in each of the 18 local government areas that make up Edo State

[4] There must be at least five secondary schools in each of the 18 local government areas that make up Edo State

We are the world’s number one producer of yam, cassava, cashews, kolanuts, shea nuts, melon seeds, bitter leaf, cocoyam and agbalumo already. In an ideal world, these products and their derivatives should be enough to sustain Nigeria without any crude oil
