Arsenal slap €25m price tag on Folarin Balogun as both Milan clubs eye him ahead of summer

ENGLISH Premier League side Arsenal appear resigned to losing their on-loan striker of Nigerian extraction Folarin Balogun and had subsequently slapped a €25m price tag on him following recent interest in securing his services from AC Mila and Inter Milan.

Balogun, 21, is currently on a season-long loan to French side Reims, where he is enjoying a hugely impressive campaign, scoring 17 goals in 28 games in all competitions so far. According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan have recently shown an interest in Balogun and there has  been another update from the same source that Inter Milan are eyeing him too.

A product of the Arsenal youth academy, Balogun has a contract at the Emirates until 2025, so the club will be demanding top dollar for him. Over the weekend, former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, who is currently playing for AC Milan, sent Balogun a message of support, indicating that the club may have asked him to sound out the youngster.

So far, only Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe and Lille’s Jonathan David have scored more goals in the French league this season. Milan are set to lose Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer, while Divock Origi has not contributed much since arriving from Liverpool, so Balogun may be an ideal signing.
