Newly promoted Premier League side Watford reach deal to buy Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis

SUPER Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis is set to join newly promoted English Premier League side Watford after his Belgian Club Brugges reached an agreement with the Hornets on his sale.

Dennis, 23, spent part of last season on loan in Germany’s Bundesliga with Cologne having first joined the Belgian side in the summer of 2017. A scorer of 27 goals in just over 90 club appearances for Brugges, he has featured in both the Uefa Champions League and the Europa League.

Watford are currently finalising personal terms with the pacy striker capped twice by Nigeria so far and hope to seal the deal over the next few weeks. Dennis, began his professional career with some experience as a teenager in the Ukranian Premier League with Zorya Luhansk.

At Watford, Dennis will join Nigerian teammates, Williams Troost-Ekong and Isaac Success, where they will all hope to feature prominently in season’s campaign. Watford has been a good club for Nigerians as striker Odion Ighalo was once on their books.
