NFF unveils details of World Cup friendly games for Eagles as it signs five year deal with Coca-Cola

NIGERIAN Football Federation (NFF) officials have released an updated timetable of friendly matches planned for the Super Eagles in the run-up to this summer's World Cup that now includes a game against Serbia in London on March 27.

On June 16, Nigeria kicks off her World Cup campaign against Croatia and will later face Iceland and Argentina, who have also been drawn alongside the Eagles in Group D. To get his wards fully prepared for the tournament, Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has said he needs about five or six pre-Wold Cup friendly games.

There will be two Fifa friendly windows on March and the Eagles are already earmarked to play Poland in the city of Wroclaw on March 23. On March 27, the team will now play Serbia in London, at a venue which is yet to be announced.

On May 25, the Eagles will then play the Democratic republic of Congo in either Uyo or Abuja in what will be their farewell game before leaving Nigeria. After that match the Eagles will then head back to the UK to play England at Wembley on June 2 before heading off to Austria where they will face the Czech Republic.

Also, the NFF has just signed a five-year partnership deal with softy drinks giant Coca-Cola, partnership worth over $4m. Following the deal just signed at the Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos, Coca-Cola has become the official World Cup sponsor of the Super Eagles as well as other Nigerian national teams.
