London-based Nigerian dies from complications in Turkish hospital after cosmetic surgery

LONDON socialite Abimbola Bamgbose has just given up the ghost in a Turkish hospital after succumbing to complications she suffered while she went there for cosmetic surgery ahead of her 40th birthday.

Popularly known as Abi Bam, Mrs Bamgbose had gone to Turkey for a surgical procedure to enlarge her buttocks but unfortunately suffered complications during the operation. She also underwent a liposuction procedure to flatten her stomach in preparation for her 40th birthday, which she planned as a surprise for her husband.

A mother of three who just graduated last July with a first Class degree from London Metropolitan University, Bim had told her husband she was going shopping with friends in Turkey. Apparently, many Nigerian women frequently visit Turkey for cosmetic surgery operations.

It is understood that the friends Bim travelled with left her body in Turkey and returned to break the sad news to her husband in the UK. Some sources say her husband might have been aware of what she was going for, however, as he gave her £5,000 towards the cost of the operation.
