Another Nigerian in the UK succumbs to coronavirus as owner of Kent restaurant passes away

NIGERIA'S UK diaspora has lost another prominent member to the dreaded coronavirus pandemic after information technology consultant Adeola Onasanya succumbed to the virus and passed away.

Mr Onasanya, a product of Abeokuta Grammar School, who is in his mid 50s, owned an African food store in Sittingbourne, Kent. His death comes just 48 hours after the Nigerian community in the UK lost immunologist and geriatrician Dr Alfa Sa’adu, who came out of retirement to help combat the pandemic.

One close friend said: "The sudden loss of a friend is like that of a limb, time will heal the pain of the wound but the loss cannot be replaced."

Mr Onasanya is believed to be survived by two sons. Friends and family has asked anyone who can to provide assistance in locating his next of kins as Mr Onasanya is believed to be divorced and living alone.
