Now is the time for Atiku to stand up and be counted as no tropical country has witnessed more than 25 coronavirus deaths which indicates that the remedy is heat-based

(1) I am sure you will all join me in wishing Atiku Abubakar’s son a speedy recovery from this coronavirus. Personally, I see no reason why he should not recover like everyone else in Nigeria who previously tested positive

(2) I hope that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will now throw his full weight behind the campaign to find a solution to this crisis. No matter how you look at it, the solution to this pandemic is tropical and the cure is out there somewhere in Africa

(3) Figures do not lie. In China we have had 3,270 deaths from the virus, while in Italy, the new epicentre of the pandemic, the total number of casualties is 5,476

(4) In contrast, Brazil is the tropical country with the highest number of deaths. They have only recorded 25 fatalities

(5) Even within Asia, tropical countries are not that susceptible to the virus. Malaysia for instance has only recorded 10 deaths, Singapore two, Thailand one and Hong Kong four. Indonesia has the highest incidence in Asia outside China with 44 reported deaths

(6) Across Africa, Algeria has the highest number of fatalities with 17 deaths, followed closely by Egypt with 14

(7) Across the whole of sub-Saharan Africa, we have only witnessed nine deaths from coronavirus. One each in Ghana, DR Congo and Gabon. There have been four cases in Burkina Faso and two in Mauritius. This makes it clear that the virus is a temperate ailment, kind of like flu

(8) Atiku Abubakar has a university. I want him to throw money at its faculty of science and medical school with a view to getting them to find an immediate remedy

(9) It is clear to me that heat is a factor here. From what I can see, the virus cannot survive high temperatures, which is why every case in places like Nigeria tend to end with the patient making a full recovery after 14 days

(10) Africa has been handed an investment bonanza with this virus. Our slogan should be - Come to invest in Nigeria where coronavirus cannot survive
