Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool all plot January move for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen

SUPER Eagles striker Victor Osimhen could be on his way to England early next year as at least three Premier League clubs are considering putting in a bid for him during the January transfer window.

Osimhen, 20, has been in great scoring form since moving to Lille from Belgian club Sporting Charleroi for €12m during the summer. He is currently one of the leading scorer in the French league with nine goals and three assists and internationally, he has also been on fire, scoring thrice in the last two matches.

Having caught the eye, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are all locked in a transfer battle, to sign Osimhen from Lille this January. Having scored 16 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions, so far this season, Osimhen is seen as an answer to the need for more firepower as the race for the Premier league title hots up.

Frank Lampard, the Chelsea manager, will be in the market for attackers after the club's transfer ban was lifted earlier this month and has Osimhen firmly in his sights. Tottenham Hotspurs head coach Jose Mourinho is also looking for a backup to Harry Kane, while Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp needs cover for his front trio of Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah.

Chelsea fans have backed a move for Osimhen taking to social media to say that he is far better than the current crop of strikers at the club. At the moment, Chelsea's main strikers include Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud but most Chelsea fans believe Osimhen will get more goals than both of them.

Over the weekend, Osimhen complained of dizziness and pain during a goal celebration and was taken to the nearby cardio-thoracic centre in Monaco. No anomalies were found, and he has since been released from hospital after being given the all clear.
