Rohr names unchanged side for today's World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in Yaounde

SUPER Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has named the same team that beat Cameroon 4-0 on Friday for today's return leg against the Indomitable Lions in Yaounde putting to bed fears that some of the players who started the first leg may be rested.

On Friday, the Eagles hammed the Indomitable Lions at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo in a World Cup qualifier and tonight they play the second leg at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stade Omnisport in Yaounde. There had been fears that the team may change, especially after the likes of Odion Ighalo and Leon Balogun received knocks during the match.

Ighalo had been a particularly huge doubt after he limped off in the 60th minute and was replaced by Kelechi Iheanacho. However, it appears both players have recovered on time for tonight's crunch tie.

This means captain John Mikel Obi will lead the team out and Ighalo starts in attack supported from the flanks by Victor Moses and Simon Moses. Ikechukwu Ezenwa will continue in goal, while the Leon Balogun and William Troost-Ekong partnership continues in central defence.
