Rohr to play 4-3-3 against Brazil tonight with Ndidi, Awaziem and Simon returning to the line-up

SUPER Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has revealed his line-up for today's friendly game against Brazil taking place at the Singapore National Stadium with only three changes from the team that drew 2-2 with Ukraine last month.

On September 10, Nigeria played a 2-2 draw with Ukraine in the southern city of Dnipro missing several key players through injury, including Kenneth Omeruo, Tyronne Ebuehi, Wilfred Ndidi, Ahmed Musa and Henry Onyekuru. Tonight there are also several absentees including Omeruo, Musa, and Onyekuru, who are yet to recover but they joined by Ola Aina, Oghene Etebo and Samuel Kalu.

Leicester City's Ndidi has recovered though and is due to start, so coach Rohr has decided to make only three changes from the team that faced Ukraine. While Francis Uzoho keeps his position in goal, Chidozie Awaziem replaces Aina at rightback, while Ndidi comes in for Etebo in midfield and Simon Moses replaces Samuel Kalu upfront.

This means that the team will stick with its 4-3-3 formation, with a back four of Awaziem, William Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Jamilu Collins in front of Uzoho. In midfield, Joe Aribo of Glasgow Rangers, who scored on his debut against Ukraine, will sit in front of the defence alongside Ndidi, with Everton's Alex Iwobi playing ahead of them as the playmaker.

Uptop, Lille's Victor Osimhen will lead the line and will be flanked on either side by Simon Moses and Samuel Chukwueze. Coach Rohr will set put his team to hit the Brazilians on the counter-attack relying on the pace of his attack to win the game.
