Czech Republic offers all Nigerians living there €4,000 each to leave the country and never return to the EU

NIGERIANS living in the Czech Republic are being offered €4,000 each to leave the country as part of a wider radical anti-immigration plan to rid the nation on non-European Union (EU) nationals.

In what can only be described as an act of ethnic cleansing, the Czech government is introducing the new programme specifically targeted at migrants from Nigeria, Iraq, Mongolia, Russia and Vietnam to leave their country and not return. Under the scheme, anyone who voluntarily leaves the country and promises not to return not only to the Czech Republic but to the EU, would be eligible for the money.

Tagged Returns, the programme is supposed to help these migrants fund their transportation costs and integration in their countries of origin, including accommodation, the purchase of household equipment and other expenses. Jan Hamáček, the Czech interior minister, said it will be suitable for all categories of foreigners, including those who are legally in the country, those there illegally and asylum seekers.

He added that the allocation for the programme totals 60m Czech Koruna (€2.3m), 75% of which is to be covered from the European Asylum Migration and Integration Fund. Each individual could get funds ranging between 40,000 Kč and 100,000 Kč, with all returns processed in the third quarter of 2019.

Similar programmes are already underway in other European states as they aim to encourage migrants who are unwanted in the respective countries and would not be granted asylum to leave. Statistically, only 40% of rejected asylum seekers are deported from the EU.

According to the Czech government, while the allocation will be a burden for the taxpayers, the cost is by far less than deportation would amount to. Mr Hamáček noted that the detention of illegals in particular is extremely costly as it goes hand-in-hand with administrative procedures and healthcare expenses.
