Obiano's wife attacks him tearing his shirt after he invites mistress to function at State House

ANAMBRA State governor Willie Obiano's wife has been reported to have engaged in a physical spat with his wife who attacked him in public and tore his shirt for inviting a mistress to a state function.

According to several eyewitness reports, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, attacked her husband during a function at State House in Awka, tearing his shirt and raining curses on both him and his mistress. Apparently, in a fit of anger, she decided to rubbish him before his guests without minding who was watching or even the calibre of people present.

Apparently, the couple had been at loggerheads over the said mistress for a while as the governor is said to be hopelessly and recklessly in love with her. He is said to be so besotted with her that he could not resist the urge to invite her to the state function despite the fact that he knew his wife would be present.

One eyewitness said: "You can therefore imagine the woman’s anger on sighting her at a state function. Without giving any hoot about what was going on, she made for the governor’s shirt, which she tore amidst a rain of abusive words.

"Even the governor’s security team was taken aback as they didn’t see this coming. In fact, it took their intervention and ceaseless appeal by some of the special guests before she would let go."

He added that the scandal is being discussed in hushed-tones by those in the corridors of power in Anambra State. Apparently, the few media people who witnessed the act were later taken to a corner and prevailed upon to refrain from publishing the story.
