Turkish clubside Piyalepaşasp adopts Nigeria's jersey as it official kit for forthcoming season

TURKISH clubside Piyalepaşasp has adopted the Super Eagles' World Cup jersey design for the forthcoming 2018/19 season as the popularity of the kit continues to inspire football enthusiasts across the world.

At the last World Cup in Russia, fans mobbed members of the Super Eagles asking the team to pose for selfies as the squad set the tournament alight with its flashy kit described as the best of all the 32 participating teams. Widely regarded as the fashionistas of Russia 2018, the native green and white attire which the Nigerian team arrived wore excited everyone.

In Russia, the Super Eagles turned heads with their chevron-patterned, two-tone green playing kit, while the floral motif on the team's travel tracksuit also caught the eye. At the time, Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala faulted the Nigerian Football Federation and sports giant Nike, saying that female footballers should have been allowed to model the new kits.

Yesterday, Istanbul side Piyalepaşasp showed off the new kit, wearing if for a league match and promising that the jersey will be used throughout the season. It appears the club were wooed by the fact that GQ Magazine voted the Super Eagles jersey as the best of the participating teams for this year’s World Cup tourney.
