Moses and Omeruo resume with Chelsea as pre-season training begins under new coach Sarri

SUPER Eagles Victor Moses and Kenneth Omeruo have resumed training at Chelsea under new coach Maurizo Sarri as the club starts pre-season preparations ahead of the forthcoming 2018/19 campaign.

Both players, who featured in Nigeria's recent World Cup campaign have joined their colleagues at the club's Cobham training ground for pre-season training.  Moses played all of Nigeria’s three games at the World Cup while Omeruo played in two of the games, having been dropped for the opener against Croatia.

Omeruo, who was very impressive for Nigeria against Iceland has been sent on loan five times since joining Chelsea in 2013, while Moses established himself as a first team player under the 3-5-2 system of former coach ‎Antonio Conte. Despite his impressive performance for Nigeria at the World Cup, Chelsea’s new coach Sarri is reportedly not considering Omeruo as part of his first team plans as he has already instructed the club to get him promising Juventus central defender Daniele Rugani.

Also, Moses' position is considered to be under serious scrutiny as Sarri plays a different system from Conte who used him as a wing-back in his two years spell at the club. Moses will now push for a spot in Chelsea's attack, which was his original role before he was converted to a wing-back.
