MEN of the Ebonyi State Police Command have busted a child trafficking syndicate after clamping down on a gang which stole and sold a child from its mother in the state  and sold it in neighbouring Anambra State for N355,000.

Aston Villa look to sign Super Eagle Calvin Bassey from Rangers at the end of the season

ENGLISH Premier League side Aston Villa are planning to snatch Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey from Glasgow Rangers in the summer as part of a major rebuilding programme.

 

Bassey, 22, who joined from Leicester City, has been a revelation this season, impressing for Rangers both at left-back and centre-half. His good form has earned him his first Nigeria caps and the Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard knows him well after bringing him to Ibrox in 2020.

Female student lynched at Shehu Shagari College of Education for insulting Prophet Mohammed

IRATE Muslins at the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto have lynched a female pupil by beating her into a pulp and then setting her ablaze for allegedly insulting the Prophet Mohammed.

 

Yesterday morning the incident began after the student, simply identified as Deborah, was beaten to a pulp before being set ablaze. In a video trending on social media, some young men were seen hurling stones at the victim.
